Question

Just got my new CD Headunit (Alpine CDA-7850R) and am thinking of fitting it myself tonight.

I'm not too hot with things electrical so I'm looking for a little advice.

The new CD uses the DIN style connections. Is it a simple matter of removing the standard stereo (MY00) and pluging the new one in via the DIN or is more wiring required?

I don't want to blow the thing up

Help appreciated.

Cool

That "DIN connector" should be an ISO actually, and the old head unit also used the ISO-connector, just plug and play really, dead easy.

There's an adaptor from ISO to Subarus connector already used with the old headunit, just use that one.

Cool

Jerry,

It was really easy in the end and only took about 15 mins to install.

Thanks for the help.

Dave.
