Default Cost to replace rear arches?

I have an '02 bug wagon and the arches are going both sides. Anyone had them replaced or can suggest a rough guide to cost of repairing/painting/etc?

Weighing up if it's worth doing or not.

Thanks for any info.

Cost me £600 labour and painting
Replacent arches £144 ( now on eBay at £90 a pair
Replacent arch trim and plastic section at bottom
£100
So about £850 up north
Seems about the average price
My rust started slowly at 9/10 years and I waited
Another five years before it went under the knife

I've looked round and not seen any repair panels for the new age Imprezas. Shame really as nothing else wrong with the car but can't justify spending £800-900 on it.

Mine are going the same way ('02 Bug).

The thing with rust, is that is doesn't go away if you just ignore it

Will have to attend to them at some point. Can't see there being much change from a grand with repair panels. However, if I try and sell it as is, I won't get much for it. Still makes more sense to repair it, than flog it for peanuts and spend a load more on another unknown car.

Sadly the rust you see is the tip of the iceberg.
