Well a lad I know has a 95 RA for sale relatively cheap but all four arches need doing interior is ****!!
But rest of body & engine are spot on, do I buy it????
The price curve in classic/sports/performance cars is definitely looking like it's starting to level off, really don't think this is the time to be making a speculative purchase of a nail of car hoping that the expense of putting it right will easily be offset by further mad gainz.
What you thinking is cheap ? Just got myself a 1999 555 ra limited for 3k in good condition with no rust issues , brought it as I thought it was a good price and should either hold its value or increase if looked after
I don't see the point in buying a rotter. There are easier ways to make money
The difference between a good one and a rotter is less money and ballache to just wait for a nicer one. If it's dirt cheap buy it and part out the box and engine and if you can be bothered store the shell until in 10 years it doubles in value to 500 quid
for us to give you any helpful information, you need to give us more info about the car, being vague will get vague answers.
give us pics, more info....
No roof flap, but Deffo thinner glass as had a expensive replacement windscreen.
So it's a WRX Ra?
Yes, it'll be a WRX RA. Put the applied model code up off the vin plate if you want it checked... no roof flap and no rear wiper would suggest it's a wrx ra.
Oh, and no such thing as thinner glass on classics ( except the rear quarter glass on late type r's)
Not as desirable as an STI RA but still a sought after classic and if you got it cheap enough it's worth a gamble. If you've bought a lemon you'll get your money back breaking it. Post some pictures when you get it.

Depends on how far the rot goes. It can spread into the suspension struts and need a lot cutting out and re-welding. If you look at lordharding's Greenwagon that that has required some significant experience surgery despite bein really well looked after.
I know the last few owners it had a beast forged engine in running high power then it got changed for what ever reason? Back to basic and stripped and sprayed in transit white.
