coolant useage and too much oil

Default coolant useage and too much oil

Right chaps how much coolant should my 09 sti hatch use its used this much since i marked it 100 mile ago?

Also theres too much oil in the car its in middle of the twisted bit
Does this cause any problems

That is the overflow bottle that level will go up and down when car is warm or when cooled down

Thats the overflow bottle that should be between the min and full not above it, it will be throwing excess out if you have had it that high.

Coolant should be no greater than full when warm, when cold its normally just above the min mark. If you overfill it expands and spills out the overflow pipe when hot.


Oil level check both sides of the dipstick and look at the lowest reading, its normally quite different over either side.

I can't get a proper oil level reading on my hatch , I've tried all methods and it always looks over filled except one time it was below empty ! I check it every week and carry a spare litre in the boot.

tut tut, you know Subaru recommends checking oil at every fuel stop!
