Default 17 or 18 inch wheels

Hi Guys, i am about to get the wheels for my classic project but i am undecided on the size to go for. The car has a P1 bodykit on it and i would like to try and mimic the wheels on that. Does anyone have any suggestions / pictures to help me make my mind up?

On classics the rule of thumb is.
They tend to ride better on 17s.
But they tend to look better on 18s.

So I would definitely go for 17s
And now this becomes subjective....I personally would go for the classic OEM look
So OZ wheels along these lines

Cheers

17's all day long, I'm only using 18's due to front brake size

I prefer 17's. 18's look better but with low profile tyres and bc coilovers it used to be a bit of a bone shaker on the pot hole ridden roads around here.
