Methanol

Jennychem. Handle with care ware gloves don't breath vapours don't drink it & you'll be fine. Disrespect it & you can die from misusing it but plenty of us have used it for years with no problems, it's highly flamible to the point I don't have my phone in my pocket when handling it, it burns with a clear flame so you won't see when you've set your self on fire, but it makes your car go like **** off a shovel. Good luck & welcome to the meth club.

You need Virgin grade Methanol.
For small quantities ive used 2 companies, Jennychem works out to £45.60 for 25L including shipping and tax. Ive also used clearwater services and they came out at £29.98 for 20L including delivery and taxes. Ive used both on dyno mapping days and both perform equally good.
If you can find a few other people in your local area that use it then you can buy 205L for around £125 delivered and share it out between you.

Go to Jennychem. There are other suppliers selling 'virgin' methanol cheaper but you run the risk of buying a contaminated product.
After a long battle with blocked filters and injectors I discovered a batch of supposedly cheap virgin methanol I bought was contaminated with Toluene which leaves a white deposit on anything it touches.
Treat it as if it was battery acid when you're handling it and you'll be fine.

I can't find my last invoice from JC, but it should be ok. If in doubt just give them a call and ask them. They sell lots to petrol heads and are used to dealing with questions about suitability of their meth.

Thats the correct stuff Chris, From Jennychem it works out at £1.82 per litre. The stuff from clearwater works out at £1.49 per litre and its the same stuff with the same purity etc, myself and many others have used it for some time with no issues. They also sell on ebay to make it easy to purchase.

All reputable suppliers will send you a data test sheet of their chemicals if you ask them.

Or if you have a speedway track local to you? Go along catch a race meeting, then go to the spares van after.dont worry too much about handling it,same precautions as petrol really.it does burn clear so be careful and the other thing to be careful of is storage, nowhere too damp! It's hydroscopic which means it's water absorbent. Years ago in speedway we would add a couple of drops of water to soften off the engine when tracks was slick ;-)

205l drum is by far the cheapest way, but i used to **** my self every time I opened the drum watching the vapours escape especially when it was less then half full. I'd say it's a bit of a fire hazard 25l drum with a tap on is far safer.

Yep roughly the same price busta for 4x25L (£72) and 205L drum (£77)...all come down to storage and if it's gonna be left for a year half full cos as you know it draws in moisture, considering the 25's for ease of use and you can fill them up with petrol for a pre-mix at track days etc
