Default Clarification?

Morning all

I have an aftermarket exhaust question for my Hawkeye.

It already has a pro drive backbox currently and I have my eye on a decat 2.5 centre pipe. I'm also looking at a variety of makes for the decat downpipe.......cobra, rcm motorsport and haywood & scott.

My question is this......does it matter that all the parts are different brands from downpipe to backbox? Or is it just important that they marry up as in all 2.5 inch pipes to lead into the backbox?

Daft question I know but thought Id check before I commit to buying anything.

Thanks

Dave

In my experience it has never mattered as long as the parts are stand alone parts. i.e. its not from a full system that is only designed and manufactured to be used as a full system and may have different joints.

Thanks for the reply Beastie, pretty much confirms what I thought.

Im just trying to release some of that Subaru rumble as its really quiet at the moment with just prodrive backbox on. Hopefully decat downpipe and decat centre pipe will cure that but not to point where its obnoxiously loud.
