I have a 94 impreza wrx and when I go round a left hand bend there is a knocking coming from the rear right and the quicker or slower you go the quicker and slower the knock

 

Sounds like a CV joint packing up.. you can get a pair of shafts cheap enough 2nd hand

 

Or possibly a wheel bearing? Jack the car up and see if there is any play on the wheel.

 

I have this on my 2005 sti, I always thought it was the rear suspension?

Doubt will help anyone when me and a friend did the handbrake cables we did a side each and he had routed it the wrong way on drivers side so was rubbing on the wheel when cornering but it sounded like the wheel was going to fall off so apologise for wasting people's time on here.
