fuel pump problems

Default fuel pump problems

hi all could anyone tell me what the symptoms are of a failing or intermittent fuel pump failure at times seems there's not enough fuel getting through as engine will tick over but will not rev up like it has a flat spot but after a couple of times to restart the problem goes away and car is fine its a v3 sti anyone have any ideas beyond fuel pump ?thanks

You might check the fuel filter is not bunged up with water and muck, cheap enough to replace.
