ok so there seem to be a fair number of folks who are experiencing the blue smoke syndrome. Lets see if there is any consistency about this and maybe work out what is going on.
Have you got or had oil burning ? If so, :-
what is your car ?
What mods ?
When did it start ?

ok i'll set the ball rolling:-

no mods
a few weeks ago only light puffs on start up
till last monday loads of oil smoke when idling ,stopped and pulling away
loads of oil smoke out of exhaut,oil filler, dipstick
taken in to dealer looks like oil control rings on no2 piston will know more on monday
