Default 2003 Blob Wrx Turbo Inlet Power Loss

hey guys,
So ive bin having a problem with my 2003 Blob wrx.
car has had a td05 16g, walbro fuel pump, decat up pipe and down pipe and remap.

i have been experiencing power loss so took my car to be tested for leaks. only leak that could be found was on the turbo inlet pipe right by where it attaches to the turbo, it is a pretty big split.

would this cause this sort off issue as its only the air intake?

thanks in advance

Wouldn't that air leak cause the inlet air to bypass the MAF (sucked in directly by turbo) and the car would run very lean?

I would expect it to.

With a silicone pipe apparently it can be done but anyone that can do it is a hero. Far easier to lift the manifold and quicker. As for a standard pipe forget it manifold off.
