Afternoon guys been a while I know, im hearing and reading on here about issues with 2.5lt engines.
Ive read the topic at the top of the page, not every page but skimmed through about 10 pages.


So, would I be right in thinking that the issues would still remain with a 2012 WRX STI 2.5lt or did they finally over come the problem with flashed ECU's?


I Was looking forwards to buying a saloon with only 8000 odd miles on it but not so sure now??

Just get it, most of the engines are fine. I believe, if you read into it, most blown engines have been messed with. Even classics, I have a 1999 RB5 with 143000 miles on it, never let me down, and I've done half those miles. Other classics running more than designed, well, pot luck.

If you like it, go for it.

ETA. I also have a 2015 STi, not worried about that, despite the horror stories (on here). Done just over 13k in it now, and loved every one of them.

 

Our 2012 has 80k on it!
