Help..Samco hose colour choice.?
Going to start replacing all the hoses in the engine bay for Samco hoses, the only trouble is I can’t decide to go for blue or Black.?
Car is a White Hawk, Don’t want to “Chav up” the engine bay with silly colours but my preferred current favourite is black but it’s a lot of money to spent without a lot of visual enhancement if you know what I mean. Hence my consideration for Blue
anyone got any pictures of the above colours to influence me, here is the engine bay at the moment:-

I like the subtleness of black in one respect but as you say a lot money for little visual enhancement
I think red is also a straightforward choice as it ties in with the inlet manifold and intercooler stencil well but not too much red...I think there is a balance
Why not go gun metal or classic matt black...although not sure what kits or fitments are available
Lovely Hawk btw
cheers

Mmmm gun metal now that's an option I had not considered that will tie in well with my wheels, and still give me a subtle look but people will notice the change that they might not see with OE black
Funny enough I seen gun metal grey Samco hoses on the Samco stand at Rallyday
Cheers pal

Sorry Mr Harding wrong choice of words in my first post forgive me
Yes that's my worry with black lot of money and work for very little visual pleasure, as there is nothing wrong with the hoses on the car now performance wise
Bling is the way forward then I think

Lol, your standaoblack ones will crack at some point, replacing them with silicone ones will be for the longlivety.
Sod that, who dresses their engines for show? Not me. Hence black is cool.
You can spend £100+ on a fault sensor etc but who will you show it to, to say you've spent a lot on said part.

Looking at the very clean engine bay
It's screaming out for red samcos
Match the nice Sti logo
Can't make out on the pictures if you have red hella horns
If not get them
Also get the samco clips As they are nice and shiny
Nice to see a white version
Alternative would be white samcos but red would be my first choice

What you say makes sense, the car is 8 years old good maintenance by replacing parts before the fail makes a great deal of sence to me
And something I always do

When I was in Rallyday I went to the Samco stand looked at the colours, they gave me the full colour chart to look over also had some small samples

Keep it black.... So much more tasteful! I personally hate chavy coloured engine bays just looks a boy racer has owned the car...
