Inovit Redlines compatible with Godspeed Brake Disks?
Hi guys,
I'm still having trouble trying to fit my wheels to my car...
It looks like the uprated Godspeed disks are stopping the wheels from fitting properly, it's as if the disks are acting as a spacer, preventing the centre hole on the wheel from reaching the centre of the hub.
Has anyone else experienced this before? I have tried asking Ian at Godspeed, but no luck there unfortunately.
Car is a WRX 2005.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah the standard size ones. This is the brake kit I have: http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/impr...port-pads.html
Clearence doesn't appear to be the issue, it's the fact that the lip on the disks protrudes about 10mm acting as a spacer it seems. (if that makes sense)

Do you mean on the hub of the disc? Seems odd, as I have the same kit on my 05 wrx and they fit fine. That is with standard alloys and speedline turinis.

Yeah sorry, the hub on the disk. If you look at the picture in the link, the extra piece of metal on top is what appears to be stopping the wheels fit.
I will try and get some pictures up to show what I mean.

What do you mean no luck ?? you have sent me a message asking , and I have told you our replacement grooved discs are exactly the same as standard discs size wise , it will not be our discs causing an issue.
Put some pics up showing whats not fitting as I have never heard of this issue before.
The hole in the centre of the disc is larger than the hole in the centre of the wheel , as the drive flange is stepped , the disc fits on the larger diameter , and the wheel fits on the smaller diameter , are you sure you're not missing spiggot rings to fit the wheels on
Cheers Ian

Hi Ian,
I also sent you a second message trying to explain what I meant further because you mis-read what I said, but I didn't get a response back to that one, hence me asking the general forum in this post. I am not having a go at you, as I think your product is great and works fantastically. I was just asking if anyone else had experienced this because I am sure I have read somewhere that this wheel and disk combination was not compatible, but I can't find that thread anywhere now.
I will try and get some pictures up later. I am at work at the moment and photobucket is blocked.

HI
I haven't seen a second message sorry , the wheel and disc combination will be compatible , as the discs are the same thickness as an original Subaru disc , I have actually used Inovit Redline wheels on my own Impreza which I used to rally and they fitted no problem.
Put some photo's up when you get home , I'm sure it can be figured out quite quickly
Cheers Ian

I did get some spigot rings as I needed some and these are what I got: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1513418475...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
They fit perfectly over the hub on the car and they fit inside the new wheel when it's off the car, but when I offer the wheel up to the car, the centre hole on the wheel doesn't reach the part where the spigot ring goes. it's like either the hole on the wheel is recessed too much, or the brake disk on the hub protrudes too far. I guess it's too hard to explain without pictures!

Did they fit before you got the new discs?

No I got the wheels off this site in the 'wheels and tyres for sale' section. I assumed rightly or wrongly that they would fit and were off an Impreza as the fitment was 5x100. The chap said that I might need spigot rings to make them fit, so I bought some. I've had the godspeed disks for a while now, before I got these wheels.
I'll put pictures up at the weekend because I've moved and have no PC/laptop in my current place, so I'll have to use my parents (didn't think about this earlier in the week!).

ok so here are the pictures, I'll try to explain each one....
this one shows the protrusion on the hub (I don't know what it's called!) that doesnt reach the centre of the wheel
this is trying to show the gap between the hub and the centre hole on the wheel:
and again:
this one is to show that the bit on the godspeed disk is acting like a spacer?:
this show the standard wheel and 'gap' between the centre hole and hub protrusion:
and another:
this just shows the standard wheel against the disk:
Anyone got any ideas? or do I simply have the wrong wheels....?!?!

i dont see anything wrong there bar the wheel not seating on the hub lip (protrusion in your photos). the disk has nothing to do with that
are you sure the rim aint just tight mounting the wheel onto the hub lip? have you tried bolting up and then tightening the wheel nuts bit by bit so that it pulls the wheel onto the lip?
