I'm thinking very seriously about getting a P1 but have a few questions. I hope some of you could help me.

I need to tow a small boat - I remember somewhere that towbars can't be fitted, is this correct ?

My current car has Leda B suspension which is fantastic - Is it worth swapping it over ? has anyone done this, what do you think ?
I've also got the short shift gear change, again, is this worth getting swapped ?

Will the Scoobysport BB be o.k ?

The Alcons will definately get swapped.

Answers to your queries :-

1) Towbars can't be fitted...there is a warning about it inside the drivers door of the P1...but someone has allegedly seen one with a tow bar...

2) I wouldnt swap over the suspension...The P1 has been specifically tweaked by prodrive and personally I think it is best left alone! Mike Wood from prodrive would give you more info. Also try this link:

I've decided not to change - The P1 is not worth nearly three times my car basically. Certainly mine now handles as good if not better(Leda) IMHO, stops much better(Alcon), has better tyres(S02)/lights(Cibie), makes a better sound(SS) and the difference on the road with the HP is not that significant. I'm not knocking it though as it's a stonking car, but as the wife said, you pay £30k for a car and then have to spend £k to uprate it !
