Default ***STOLEN***

AE 07 OJF , grey hawk STI stolen from Peterborough at lunchtime 29/7 .
Standard looking car with prodrive pff07 wheels , highly modified underneath.
Dirty cunts broke into my house while I was out & took the keys .

Sorry to hear that, hope you find the car.

Did you not hide the keys in a secure location.

Had my car stolen back in March, same way they stole yours(broke in through the backdoor and took the keys) I think about it everyday, and think of how I could have stopped them from taking it. I still wish they would find my car as im still paying the monthly finance payments as the insurance still haven't settled.

Man that's enough to make your skin crawl.

Having your car stolen is bad enough, but knowing they were in your own home too.....*****!

Hope the scum one day get what they rightfully deserve!

Hi All

Just saying but as we all know cars being stolen from criminals breaking into your house and taking the keys, would you not hide them in a really secure place.

I always keep my keys with me and leave them in my bedroom, I would keep the spare key in secret place to make it difficult for these ***** to find.

I don't understand the argument of hiding the keys...

If these sort of people are willing to break in to get something and they can't find it, who's to say you wouldn't be woken up at 3am with a knife being held to your throat?
I'd rather that they simply found the keys without any violence. I feel for the OP as I've been in a similar situation before and it's incredibly unnerving, but at the end of the day - it's just a car.

Totally agree. I would never take my keys to my bedroom and risk my family. I take the keys with me when we are out though.

The keys were hidden in the house , they wrecked the place to find them.....
My advice would be to leave them somewhere visible , minimise the damage.

I read only recently about thieves waking someone up for his keys, it's just not worth the risk over a bloody car

I was advised to take my keys to bed by the police, I told them I have young kids and Id rather they take the car then come up the stairs and threaten my family!!

A few years ago, A guy near me had some guys break into his house for the keys to his Nissan GTR and they put a axe/knife to his 9 year old kids throat and demanded the keys, So no way would I hide the keys!!

Ok that's going extreme, didn't think they would take it that far to be honest. Thought it would just result in a punch up.

That's absolutely scandalous mate, gutted for you, why go to all that trouble to take it and then burn it out, wonder if they've used it for anything.

I keep thinking of getting one of these for my car http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/American-D...item2ee004f952

hide the unit and have a hidden switch powered from acc live and invertor. arm the switch when you leave the vehicle, if someone takes your keys and drives off, the unit switches on and fills the car with fog
