I dont get why someone would go to the trouble of breaking into a house (burglary) and stealing a car just to then burn it out? Theres nothing to gain, its sheer mindless vandalism. Why not just burn it out on your drive and save the hassle?
Cant get my head round it and I really feel for you. If mine ever got taken I'd never want to see or know what happened to it.
After the spate of RS's we saw stolen recently and more and more break in's to steal the keys I think i'm going to fit a kill switch or something to immobilise mine. I have a clifford 650 on it but only the keys are needed for that.

I think that owners of any performance car these days have to think very hard about there security home and car,and preventative ways to stop thief's from even attempting the crime in the first place,as these kinds of criminal's are not stupid they stake out a property/car for days sometimes weeks just to work out the victims patterns before they even attempt to break in and steal. My advice is a good home alarm car immobilizers big dogs etc...as the saying goes "Prevention is better then the Cure".SJ.

Does it help though? If someone is breaking in to take your keys, where's the disklok key going to be? On the keyring with the car keys no doubt.
The only real deterrent would be a proper punishment for the ****ers stealing! Not just a slap on the wrist, cut their hands off.

Keeping the disklok key on the car keys is asking for trouble James so I doubt that most people keep them together.
My best anti theft is going to be using a 2nd map as a "if you want me then you'll have to tow me away map" zero fuel and zero ignition will make it undrivable!

cash point robbery. they could have made more money if they had just stripped the car for parts
the courts need to start getting tough on criminals. 1st offense = warning, 2nd offense = 6 months +, 3rd offense = 10 years +.
If they get caught again, hang the scum

I still maintain proper punishment is the only cure for these crimes. There's ways around alarms, locks, dogs etc. But what we need to be doing is making them think about carrying the deed out at all, not making them think how they are going to get round our deterrents.

Which is fine, but they just poison the dog! My grandparent's dog was done when they raided their house.
