Yes, very expensive for what it is. A few grand too much imho. For that money, I'd want it to have less mileage, the full Prodrive WR package with ECU, suspension, lights and Recaros, and Helen Mirren in the passenger seat.

I'd be hunting down a blob STI instead for that kind of money.

A decent RB5 is very hard to find, especially with "low" mileage. If you really want one, I'd pay £6k tops.

I nearly bought the RB5 in question a few weeks back when it was advertised at circa 5400 or best offer on eBay. I said I would pay 5k if it wa mint. It was a nice example with good history but wasn't immaculate. The back arches had started to bubble the windscreen had been poorly fitted & I think it was nearly due a cambelt. Plus there was only one broken key fob. The seller seemed pretty genuine to be fair & apart from the niggly things it was a decent car but not worth 5k for me... Then two days later I see it up for sale at a trader for 7.5k!! Stating its immaculate! Lol. It's clean don't get me wrong but immaculate...no. How can someone justify putting 2.5k by just giving it a wash & clean?? I understand there are overheads & expenses running a business but 2.5k price hike without doing a thing to it is insane! Unless the trader spent the two days after buying it doing the above said things. (Which I doubt).
Anyhow someone had bought it since. So a nice tidy profit by the trader
