Default £9K to £10K need advice please.

Hi, as title says I'm thinking of getting rid of my company car and buying a Subaru again. Budget around £9K to £10K, would love a hawkeye but I think that's out of budget, I've had a type r and loved it but doesn't seem to be many decent ones left so thinking a JDM Blobeye?

Do you think this is the best Subaru to spend this kind of money on? My work commute is 8 miles each way.

Thanks in advance.

That S202 is nice but I've never really loved the look of the bug! I was looking at that spec c last night. A spec c is still an import like a JDM isn't it?

Cheers Tidgy, can you clear something up for me if you know about it. The clocks on the blobeyes? I've seen ones with blue backgrounds and ones that are full digital black background with orange numbers and needles. I prefer the digital but there is no pattern with age or spec of car what has them, was it just an option from factory?

What about a UK Widetrack? You might be lucky enough to find one in your budget, all be it with a few more miles on. JDM's and Widetracks have started to go up in value recently so might be a good time to buy, if you can find a decent one in budget.

Just get a Blob JDM STI, you get the clocks then amongst the twinscroll turbo and other juicy parts (and its a better car than any UK poverty spec machine) and in your price range.

I have to disagree with the JDM over UK.

Having owned both, I preferred the UK version. I didn't like the sound or the power delivery of the single scroll setup.

Look for a nice UK widetrack with PPP.

Orite mate I have owned both 1st was a nice sti prodrive bug and now got a jdm hawk type20 and my option is the jdm is far better car. You get an extra 1000rpm sounds the nuts when on full chat, pulls like a train through the rev range and power delivery is very smooth. You even get a rear wiper

As for the clocks the jdm's look far better compared to the uk's insurance is pretty much no different tax can be cheaper and is cheaper compared to the uk hawk's.
