Default Whats this button for?

Its got me stumped, the writing has warn off it and I'm not sure what is is for, looking in the manual does not help either? Its not a pic of my car but the placement is the same, 1st button on the left of a group of 4? (its a MY 00 classic)

Nope no picture on it its sort of rubbed off and cracked, it is identical so OEM subaru etc. Was hoping it was a switch for a map as it seems to be used a fair bit more than the fog lights, but no difference when pressed.

Been used for i/c water spray?

Have a look behind it, see what the wiring is.

If it looks amateur, take a pic.

If it is a UK classic, MY00, then those two buttons are blanks so the owner before must have had some aftermarket item in there.

I have used that blank for loads of stuff in the past, Clifford alarm light, flamer kit you name it
