First scooby. Insurance and tracker info
Hi. First post. I'm looking into 04 wrx and viewing some today. I've checked insurance. They require a tracker fitting. Is there any recommended company's that don't require one? If I get one fitted how much are they fitted / and per year? Cheers in advance. Ian

speak to garry moulson at keith micheals aka moley on here. his contact details are in the insurance section.
Few other companies in there to try as well, but garry would be my first port of call

I use this lot....
http://www.tracker.co.uk/
Very good, working on the car the other day, and disconnected the battery, they rang me within 10 mins to say there was an alert on my car...

I've never been refused insurance on mine and I've never had a tracker fitted. I've used various different brokers in the past: Performance Direct, A-plan and Elephant to name a few.
Have a look here for trackers if you still think it's necessary: http://www.trackerfit.co.uk/
Yearly subscriptions vary but they are always a 3 figure sum.

Hi,
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Regards,
Dan.

as I'm also currently looking to buy my first scooby I phoned my insurance company LV for a quote and I've been told that they will insure my car even without the tracker but it won't be insured against theft, once tracker will be fitted just need to give them a call and they will update it and it will be fully insured, price remains the same with/without tracker

Then I would be looking to insure with someone else who will insure you without the need for a tracker. As mentioned already, there are plenty of companies out there who will. Try contacting several of the specialist insurers in the insurance section on scoobynet.
