WRX-S
I'm looking for 2009 / 2010 WRX not an STI.
I have noticed two WRX-S cars which appear to be 250 bhp, a Prodrive remap and exhaust, 18" wheels and other cosmetics.
Has anyone driven one and is the exhaust louder than the standard WRX Subaru exhaust.
Thanks in advance.

I have been out in a 2010 STI and while in the short term it is great, a long journey say 3 or 4 hours would not be that pleasant.
That is the reason for asking the question, I cannot think that the Prodrive exhaust on the WRX-S will be quieter than the standard WRX.

I had a WRX hatchback for a while and now have the STi. The Prodrive exhaust has a nicer tone than the standard fit, a bit deeper and "raspier" without being an annoyance.
Easier to live with than the STi on a daily basis, though a noticeable difference in performance.

Owned one for a few years and tbh the exhaust was far too quiet. I fitted a Hayward and Scott centre section which improved things but did weird things to the exhaust note when cold and the air pump was running. The car itself was pretty solid and the only issue I had was with the front arb bushes creaking but some poly ones sorted that. Performance wise it was more than quick enough for todays roads and even though the claimed top speed was 130mph it got there very quickly! If they had put a 6 speed box in it would have transformed the car...but they didn't so it's good but not fantastic!
