Default Dash Swap

Hi All,

I have a flocked dash to fit into my bugeye. I have heard its a swine of a job, and I'm not mechanicaly minded at all. I have tried searching on here and google but can't find much info. How hard a job is it? Are there and guides to dash removal/replacement?

Thanks in advance,

Lee

Can't remember where the post was but a few weeks ago someone posted about a dash swap that had gone wrong and nothing was working (including his car). Can you not just get yours flocked?

You need the dash out to flock it properly.

Is it basically just a case of undoing everything you find then? Any hints or surprises in store? Thanks

Yeah just keep undoing untill it all starts to come out ,, iv managed to do it with both the steering wheel on and off but was much easier with it off ,,, from memory there is a wire behind the dash (stereo area) that is attached to the dash by a wire clip and the clip is screwed into the dash but you can't really get to it so I just cut the wire from the clip and then the dash comes out fine so if your pulling and it's not coming out its prob this wire lol
