It's got a decent spec but looking like that you'll struggle to get a decent offer.
The car wants breaking to make some real money from it chap.

Everyone has a mate handy with spanners , failing that try a local garage who has a apprentice to break it down.
Would of thought it would be more beneficial to your back pocket

Cars that look like this do indeed sell well on the likes of Facebook, SIOC and ebay. However, this car has a pretty decent spec and will demand a pretty high price.
The type of person who buys a car that looks like this doesn't (very often) have the money to buy one with a spec like this.

In my opinion If you want decent money for it you have two options really.
Either make it more attractive to the type of people looking to spend quite a few grand on an old well spec'd impreza.....
Or break it and sell the bits.

4K

He'd get near that for the engine and box alone.

To be fair people I'm not asking what you opinion is on this and that or if you like it or not.
The car was pretty much looking how it was when I got it.i just went down the perfoamce side of things rather than putting the money into the interior. I was actually going to strip the inside and use it as a track car but plans have changed. So rather than slag the bad parts of because it's not to your taste then don't bother commenting on the post. Sure you could look at any car and say I don't like this or that but I'm not asking your opinion on the inside I'm asking what it would be worth if I sold it .....

apologies bud, your right. remove the tarty bits and its a well specced car that looks pretty stealthy in black and has a decent set of mods to boot. worth spending some coin to return a decent interior to it and proper rear lights. then put it up for what YOU think its worth. 5k-6k or 7k? in an ideal world its worth that with the money thats gone into it but you never get back what you put in. the best way to get maximum return is to break it unfortunately.

Well no one is going to advise on price and the op isn't keen on comments from experienced enthusuists and won't listern to suggestions of breaking or making it look half normal soon do in scoobynet
It would be worth just £1600-£1800
eBay /Sioc sites similar Money although who has got the ready cash on there for a Er unique machine like this
Fact it's 19/20 years old
Rusty arches £700 to sort and respray maybe another few hundred ?

So I dout the eBay /Sioc would have the money to sort and mot it in the future

I'm sure I will get loads of abuse now but if the advice was taken from earlier posters you might get £2200-£2600

All the money is in the engine and turbo if you break it

The rest is the sort of thing worshipped on youscoob and sioc, so you'd probably get 2k for the rolling shell after that

Mate you really need a facelift bumper and paint it, ditch the rear lights for STI ones and stick an STI interior in it, it's a days work to fit all the parts and should cost in the region of £500 which you'll probably get back by selling what you take off, you might even get away without changing the front bumper.

Then it's a £7/8k car easy with a full mot, with all the tat you'll be lucky to see £4/5k from anywhere let alone off here, got to be worth a days work to double your money.

And again you can't expect to put a car that looks like a tarts handbag on here and not get the sort of comments it's received.

If I had the time I'd give you £5k and rape it.

Well maybe I should think about breaking the car then the biggest issue I have is finding the time to break the car and strip it and store the parts until it's sold.
I can understand people's comments on the car but like I stated IF I was going to
Keep the car it was planned to be stripped inside and used on a track, but I never got around to it so the car is how you see it now. It's not to everybody's liking and if I'm hounst it's not my cup of tea the interiour either but it is what it is, I was
Hoping with mods to fetch around 5k but as most are saying it's prob best to brake the car.
So I could try sticking it on a facebook site youscoob or similar and if no interest then brake it but will set me back a few months . I appriciated were people are coming from with the interiour and if I had done it then I would of shot myself but I didn't.

While I think 8K is a little over the odds I still agree with Ditch that the car is worth some decent money if it was made to look more appealing.
Nice original interior, sort the front end out to make it look more original, swap the rear lights and give it a general tidy up.
That car looking tasty with that spec would sell all day long at 6K. Maybe even a touch more if you held out and found the right buyer.
I certainly think it's worth throwing a grand at it to make it look the part, and to be honest, you would get most of that back once you've sold all the tat on Facebook and ebay.
If it was a good looking R or P1 with that spec it would be 10k
