I recently put a unequal exhaust manifold on my non turbo and now after a few month it has a rattle that has got worse it sounds like it coming from the cat any ideas?

I think it could be the heat shield

 

As said, it could be the heat shield around the the cat. You can either try and tighten it up with an exhaust clamp or get a mechanic to cut it off if it is really loose. I had a rattle recently and it turned out to be an old clamp that had made itself loose, I just got it cut off as it was rusty and not doing anything.
