CS 400 Warranty + suspension
First post on here...
I have had a CS400 for the last year, and it was 3 years old in November. Was told by dealer (Noble), that Subaru don't do extended warranties on the car. (Noble didn't know this until they tried to sell me one)
I then got a call last week from Subaru call-centre, offering to sell me a warranty...until I told them it was a Cosworth and they backed out and apologised for bothering me! Has anyone been able to get a warranty on one recently?
Suspension has recently started knocking. I know its an issue with the car, and given it's not going to be covered by non-existent warranty, I want to put on replacement that will last. Any suggestions? I don't want it too stiff, as mostly used on road and not for tracking.
Thanks

If I recall correctly, Subaru sub there warranty out to a company called Autoprotect. May be worth looking them up and asking them to quote.
Bit worrying that Subaru seem to be swerving an upsell opportunity. A bit odd as well TBH.

I'm guessing it was Autoprotect who called me last week, and then backed off when they found it was a 400.
Noble also tried hard to get me a warranty but couldn't, and were taken by surprise. Apparently still some disputes between Subaru and Cosworth over who is liable for what.
Thanks anyway!

Anyone else had multiple suspension failures even after the initial repair carried out?
More than twice, or even three times or more?
I can't go into more details just now about why I'm asking, but am an original CS400 owner from new.

Yes, I had several sets. But no issues with the rest of the car, currently at 13k miles.
I had my car up on the ramp last week and checked mine and they're fine. They have lasted much longer than my other sets (which fell apart in literally hundreds of miles of motorway driving) so I am obviously optimistic but cautious about the latest set.
I sent a letter to IM voicing my concern but predictably had no reply.
This lack of reply is a major factor in my decision not to purchase a 2015 saloon as an addition to my fleet.

Bilstein should address the problem, it's not the first time this happens (see RB320 struts failing and 3rd bearing rework).
Maybe Chevron have a solution for it?

I had the same call from Subaru, and they sold me the warranty. Car has now sadly been sold but a warranty claim for a fuel sensor was honored under the warranty. I was clear that the car was a Cosworth ltd edition but that did not stop them selling the warranty. My local dealer was surprised that they sold it me!
