V1 sti

Default V1 sti

Hello I've just bought a Impreza v1 sti and thought I'd join scooby net. I pick my car up on sat its black and has a jun 94 19/200 on the drivers side strut top I was wondering how many v1 sti's are left?

Welcome, not sure on how many are left but when they started their production runs there was a few sets of 100 and 200's so there wasn't just 100 or 200 of the first ones there was quite a few. Mine was 16/100 thoroughly enjoyed that car.

Yeah I think that plate refers to number 19 of 200 built in the month of June so in theory there would have been around 2400 built in a year.

I think there was actually 1500 first edition STI's produced. 100 per month for the first three months of 94 and then 200 a month until September of that year

That's interesting I thought there was 200 total. I understand that they was modified by sti not made at subaru

The first edition STI was basically a normal WRX that was removed from the production line and 'breathed on' by STI (hence why the STI and WRX share the same applied model code).
Later STI models were made on the production line.

Sounds about right. Lucky if 500 are left worldwide though and not many of those in decent condition.

There won't be many left and a rare sight these days. If its mint keep it that way. If not get it good and it will only go up in price. great cars.
