Default buying advice please!

Hi all,

Am on the hunt for a PPP wrx or sti. Have just found this on ebay and was hoping to get a second opinion from you fine (and more experienced) folk

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/331522426676?nav=SEARCH

Seems a reasonable price although only 8 stamps. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Don't buy a PPP version as you are bound to mod it in the time you have it so just go for a normal one!

It looks ok, 8 stamps wont be full service history as its a 2005 model, it would need 9/10 and is due a service by the looks.
Wheels are STI wheels, PPP was given free on the 2005 car or you got 3 years 3 servicing so dont let them add any money on for that.
Its an SL (sunroof/leather) and looks to be in good condition. Its worth going to look at as it looks unmolested

Thanks for the replies, am keen to get a nice example and keep it stock so was think wrx PPP might be a bit more liveable as an every day car as has softer suspension and I have heard cheaper to maintain. Doesn't seem to expensive then? Lost out on an 05 wrx 300 the other day on eBay at 6k which has possibly set my hopes top high!

Don't get a wrx get an STI as once you mod it you will realise the saving wasn't even worth it. The newage STI is worth the premium over the wrx version!

Its not really any cheaper to maintain over an STI but it will be easier to live with as a daily runner.
If you are going to modify then do as Steve said, don't buy a wrx and get an STI, if you are not going to modify then its an ideal car.

Ah no doubt most do mod but I'm just keen to get a clean unmodified example and keep it that way. Did you guys see that sti PPP with 39k for sale on here?? Drool! Would have bought that in a shot but sadly have no where to indoor store so don't think I could have looked after it in the way it deserved. Someone got a bargain there
