Default what tires?

hey all

so i just picked up new alloys for my summer tires
i realised that in 8-9 months time after iv switched to my winters ill be getting new alloys off a different size

ie they only need to last 9000 miles!

so dose anyone have any recommendations of high grip tires?
nice stiff side walls would be good also

im used to rain sport 2s and i was contemplating eagle F1s
semi track tires like 888 are out off the question.
this is my Daily so it needs to be safe in the wet

I have Michelin Pilot Super Sports fitted. I had Bridgestone RE050a was my last tyre, not very good dry grip to be honest. I've tried quite a few premium brand tyres but have to admit keep going back to Michelin. The Super Sports are in a different league, extremely sticky tyre in the dry and wet. Transformed the car in more ways than one.

I had a hard time finding the Super Sports in my size being 92Y rated but Blackcircle tyres had 63 in stock. They also delivered to my prefered tyre fitting station. I paid £585.96 for the set of four, size 225/40/R18 92Y XL
