[HELP] Subaru Impreza 2.0 GT Turbo GC8 (2000)
Hello to everyone, this is my first post in this forum as I am about to buy a Subaru Impreza 2.0 GT Turbo, build in year 2000, on street 2001.
The price is about 8000 dollar and the car is in an absolutely stock status with absolutely no mods. No rust, and only 80.000km. Timing belt changed at 50.000. The seller says no oil leaks nor anything bad. Last owner was a 60 year old man.
I've never owned a Subaru but I've been in love with subarus for years, now I have the chance and enough money to get one.
What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance.

I think the GT is the same spec as a UK Turbo. If the car has no rust around the rear arches (please check carefully around the inside), no damage, service history, standard trim and the mileage is low then it sounds like a good car. Do you mean 8000USD? If you can post photos or a link to the car it would be nice for us to see too.

Thank you for your tips. I will check this when I have the car in front of me.
I have no real pictures right here to post but the car just looks like this one, except for the rims (which are original too) and no window tint.
I'm in contact with the dealer and he wants 8000USD, car has left steering. It's a German Subaru and also has stock 218HP.
If you say it's a good deal, it makes me even more nervous! *facepalm*

Looks nice and clean and totally standard from the outside! $8000 seems pretty expensive, even in that condition. That's around £5350. Maybe they are just worth more where you live. It is a very nice looking car, good luck! Keep us up to date!

I will :-)
What would you pay for it max? Maybe I can still get the price down when I am at the dealer and drop him a suitcase full of cash on his desk. Saying u take that or nothing. Maybe it's just that expensive because he has to give me a 1 year warranty. Maybe I can make a deal.
Regards

It is a nice one, hard to find these days so it's worth more than most. Take the cash with you and do your best to get it as cheap as possible, making sure you're 100% happy the car and engine are solid first.

Thanks for the tips.
The car has arrived at the dealers workshop and is now officially for sale to the public. Anyone could get it before me now...
I'm so ****ing nervous as I have to wait till Tuesday (or a few more days) to know if I am getting the bank credit.
Honestly, I'm dying internally now, what a f*cking suffering...
Regards,
Ben.
