Best option imo is ESL. Take a look at enduring solutions website, they have recommended distributors.

£500-600 with board fitted and mapped

I think you'll find alcatek is quite a bit more than that. The figure of £1300 supplied, fitted and mapped with anti lag and launch springs to mind.

I very much doubt it's £800 all in chap but if that's correct then it's very cheap indeed. His website states £880 for the ecu fitted and mapped plus £150 for the motorsport features. Then no doubt there's VAT on top of that.

If he is actually able to knock them out for £800 all in then the other tuners really need to do some price adjusting imo.

ESL fitted and 2 maps from RaceDynamix all in at £550.

Alcatek with the above options From Andrew Carrs site is £840+£100+£60 for the flatshift clutch switch= £1000. May have to add VAT.

Price does not include the above options according to the website.

ESL also has all the above options as well as Traction control, Diagnostics (software and CEL connectors), MAF/MAP load switch to give genuine OEM drive quality.

ESL knock control is as Subaru, subject to international patents and is done in hardware, not by the central processor, so is much quicker. This is because the budget for the ECU ran to £10s of millions and allowed for custom IC fabrication.
