Default water pump

Hi I have a 03 impreza wrx at just over 106000 miles and I'm getting the cambelt changed for the second time, I did not change it first time round, do I need to do the water pump at the same time.
Please help....

no service requirement for water pumps and in the near 20yrs we have been 'messing around' i have come across ONE water pump failure - the Subaru uses an ali/steel unit which is robust when compared to the likes of the VAG plastic throw away items

even that would not have been saved or diagnosed by any replacement due to the age of the vehicle invovled

I don't mean to be so thick so I'm really sorry but are you saying I should or should not change the water pump, again I'm really sorry for being a bit of a thicky today lol...

Yes, he's saying if it's working OK, leave it.

DO change all idlers and tensioners.

I would change the oil pump as well if the covers and belts are off.
