Default Revs dropping low

Hi, I've got a 2004 impreza sti fitted with alcatek ecu, since the colder weather sometimes my car will stall cos the revs drop really low, it's done it about 3 times in the last month but it usually happens if I'm in a bit of traffic at a junction and the traffic is just moving along stop/start or if i have to come to a sudden stop and press the clutch in the revs drop quite low, it only does this after about 4 or 5 miles upto that is fine and after that it's fine.? I've just cleaned the iacv which was quite dirty and all seems ok so far, just wondered if it does start doing it again is there any way of upping the revs.? Or would it need a map tweek for the colder weather.?? Cheers for any help.

My 2003 sti is doing the same. I was thinking of getting a bit more fuel on choke mapped in to see if that helps. I am running with a lightened flywheel which makes it tick over lower than normal, does yours have one?

Hi, no my cars still got standard flywheel, since I've cleaned the iacv the revs have raised a bit when idling with the engine warm but I'm still gonna keep an eye on it. Could just be a map/weather issue, I use to always have simon roe (jgm) travel to me to map my car but he sadly passed away a couple of months ago so not sure who to use now.? I'd try cleaning the iacv and see how you get on but make sure you use a new gasket.

Could be a faulty knock sensor , it's what it sounds like to me
