A detail would sort that out. Blobeyes in red are pretty rare, only the WRXs came in that colour. However in Europe (Finland?) the Petter Solberg edition was an STI in that red. I'd kill for one!

A mate of mine has a MY05 blob WRX in red and owned it for about 6 years. He had a couple of panels resprayed after some minor vandalism and there is no discernible difference between the old and new paint that would indicate paint fade.

If your judging by pictures they don't do the colour justice, I looked at a red one when I started my search for the right car, the main reason I didn't buy it at the time was lack of funds and no PPP, otherwise I really liked it in red.
Also like any paint if its looked after it will not fade.
