Hi all just registered with scoobynet my names marc and im from the west midlands im planning on buying my first subaru in the new year and just wondering what to look out for when purchasing,im looking for around a 2006 plate wrx and what price should I be looking to spend ive got about £6k-£7K to spend.

Don't spend £6-7k on a 2006 WRX. They are selling cheaper than that now. Pains me to say it as I actually own and use one daily that I love.

The 2.5 engine has it's problems, but in the WRX it is generally pushed less and fails less than the 2.5 STI models.

Lovely cars, I still love mine. Should get a cracker of a car with your budget.

Nice car for the money this and comes with the better 6 speed box, better 2.0 engine etc. and right colour!

Would you reccomend dealer or private ? I know you pay a bit more from dealer but could sometimes get a warrenty

Ill defo have a look on here m8 after xmas and like you said theres a lot of sheds out there ill be difinatly having a look at a few before my minds made up its a lot of money to loose if you end up with a nail lol

Just put my deposit down on a 56 plate impreza wrx pick it up 17th jan managed to get a 12 month warranty and free mot for life also the dealers gave me discounted annually services so well pleased xmad cant go quick enough now lol
