Going back to OEM?
I was thinking of selling the car and getting something
more sensible as I have seemed to have had problem
after problem since buying the wagon.
I am almost decided now in that I want to put the car
(my2001 WRX wagon) back to factory and keep it.
It currently has raceland coilovers( so uncomfortable),
18" Rota GRA's, HT autos front lip and version 7 STI
front seats.
Has anyone got any interior shots of the same model
and does anyone know what wheels came with it from
the factory? Also what would I be looking at price wise
for standard suspension struts(secondhand would do).

Don't have shots of the same model but just thought I'd pipe up and tell you what mine is so you know what else fits, Wrx wagon 54 plate, seats are really nice and comfy as well as being just black, plenty available as a lot of people do what you have done, should imagine you won't have a problem selling yours. As with the suspension many people change for coilovers, which as you have discovered isn't the best Idea. my standard suspension will also fit your car so you can look for anything up until facelift blob. I also have 2003 STI gold wheels 17's again readily available and clear most brakes (mine has AP's)
Wrx is a great car out of the box just needs better brakes and a few handling mods and jobs a good un for a daily drive, mine has PPP which is plenty for a road car and I don't have to worry wether or not the mapper was having a good or bad day when the car was mapped as prodrive developed it.
There is a group buy for wagon specific springs from the guy that used to work for prodrive and designed them, I'm getting a set, there aren't many left so you may want to get your name down on a pair, slight drop and a tad firmer than standard but way better than anything else on the market.

My 2001 WRX Wagon is straight out of the box with the exception of a new Racebox backbox from Scoobyworld. I don't have any shots of the inside, but you can see the factory wheels on these pics :
Hope this helps.

In my experience , for a road car, you don't need to change the calipers. I have recently refurbished my standard 4 pots with new seals and stainless steel pistons, plus I have fitted Godspeed grooved discs and Kevlar pads all round. I find the brakes fantastic to be honest and inspire a lot of confidence.

Ive had them on two imprezas and they have both been crap. I rebuilt the first set on an rb5 and still wasnt impressed. The second set I replaced with brembos and the difference was amazing.

In my opinion, if you find that a 4 pot setup if insufficient for the road, then you are driving too fast on the road anyway. For track, now that''s where the 4pots can fall apart.
