hi all
please if at all possible can you do me a favour

you need a OBD reader:

measure the throttle postion via obd when closed and when open then post it here along with your year and version off car.

i was expecting 0 when closed and 100 percent when open but iv swapped 3 throttle position sensors in now and all off them read around 10 when closed and 75 when open

no the throttle dose completely closed (enough to stop water passing through when i cleaned it) the idle control valve (ICV) is like a second smaller throttle that allows air to pass the main thottle and let the engine idle

Try connecting the multi plugs to the throttle body and turn the ign on, you may see it hold open slightly then.

you havent got thick floor mats have you, I know one member who had a 2nd mat to protect the OE ones and it fouled the throttle pedal.

it doesn't hold open. I had an issue with the throttle on my blob WRX, it would jam shut slightly, and take more pressure on the peddle to open it initially.
