Default An open letter to Sir Richard Branson.

Dear Sir Richard,
Sorry to bring this up in your time of loss, but I could do with answers to a couple of questions about Virgin Media.

I have just got back from a month working in France, where my internet, phone and TV is provided by Orange/France Telecom. On Friday they rang me to tell me my monthly bill is to be REDUCED by €6 for being long-standing customer. Please compare THAT with the letters I get from Virgin telling me my payments need to rise.

First question: If they can do it, why can't you?

Second question: if they can give me 10MB broadband, 160 TV channels and ALL MY PHONE CALLS TO ANY LAND-LINE IN THE WHOLE WORLD FREE, for €30, why am I paying £54 here?
When I ask your workers at Virgin media why, they tell me I shouldn't compare the UK with France...why not?

And lastly, you'll note I made no mention of the odious "line rental" over there. Because there isn't any.

So why do I have to find £16 a month for it here?

Just thought I'd ask...being as how I can't get straight answers from your staff, thought you'd like to explain yourself?

Regards, Jeff.

Richard Branson is only a share holder, Virgin Media is owned by Liberty Global now.
