Is this the Rally that they are trying to include in the WRC ?

If so I think quite a few brits would make the trip over.

I thought I would share my photos from the SCCA Pro Rally: Rim of the World. It was this last weekend here in Palmdale, Southern California.

The Rim is the toughest rally here in the United States.

I took 1 1/2 hours of video and 300+ still photos.

I posted some stills from video on a temporary page. I am working on a permanent page that should be up by the end of this week.

It was really GREAT to see M.Lovells open class WRX Impreza.(very close to wrc spec), also got see F.Dors 1999 ex SWRT WRC Impreza. These cars are absolutely amazing.

Prodrive..... These guys are amazing to watch at the service stages. OMG!!!!!

I hope you enjoy the photos I took.

Subaru Of America supplied me with a press pass. The places I could get to and things I got to see where amazing.(Thank you SOA)

It's one of the events that are being considered for it. There was talk last year of one of the events on the east coast taking part in the Asia / Pacific championship as a precurser to full WRC status. Sadly the SCCA ( the motorsports sanctioning body here) could not get sufficient sponsorship and everything fell apart.

So sadly it'll be at least two years before a WRC event can be considered here.

What with Germany , USA , Japan and Lebanon all vying for a round of the WRC it could make for some interesting execuses to the wife.
