Default dissapointment

hi guys...

I am disappointed in a form member who has been selling some items.... I bought something of the said person and paid with bank transfer and low and behold still waiting to see my purchase.I was told they have been sent and that is was 12 days ago now so to me that looks like they have got lost or never been posted... now the person will not take private messages as his inbox is full so my question is what happens next... ???

obviously I would like the items but if they have been lost then it is up to the person sending them to sort the problem out and either get the post office to replace the items as I hope he has a proof of sending with them....if they haven't even been sent then why tell me they have ???... if I am never to get anything then the member needs to give me back my money...

easy really so lets see what people think etc

Start a new thread saying member whoever can you please reply to me or clear your inbox so we can speak via pm

Or start one with the same as above but call him a **** , tell him you are going to find him and stamp on his head etc etc .....

It is getting a bit out of hand on here with the scams etc....must be that time of year

Correct, you haven't.

If I was 'Gooner 1' I wouldn't be happy with the insinuation.
If I was a Mod I'd be looking into such insinuations.

Anyway, I'd agree with DA's "Start a new thread saying member whoever can you please reply to me or clear your inbox so we can speak via pm".

Problem of course is that since you've highlighted a problem any such post will automatically identify the trader.

However, they will probably see this thread and hopefully contact you via pm.

Or you can pm me, and I'll arrange for such a post, totally anonymous.

Let's not get away from the fact that our resident Troller was the one who named names...... typical trouble maker with nothing better to do.

He should stick to posting about what you know............. which means you should not have a lot to say on here

If he's a private seller just post a thread with his name as the title, it's not going to destroy his business or lifestyle. If I was to sell something to a member then I would bend over backwards to make sure all was well, no excuse, people sleep with there smart phones these days.

well how are people supposed to avoid the seller as you wont name him?
if you dont name him and give him the chance to respond this thread is useless.

I think that the fact that you cannot get through to him by pm is that he does not want to talk to you,i bet when you was in the process of paying him he was replying to your messages on the button, name and shame end of,i think that's why you ain't getting much sympathy as your complaining about a member who has clearly put his two fingers up about your concerns yet you seem to be protecting him.SJ.

In all honesty i have spoken to him before, and he seemed to be quite a polite chap, maybe his inbox is just full and that's it.But saying that two weeks is quite a while for a package not to show up,it might just turn out to be a simple misunderstanding, life can be a funny thing sometimes.SJ.

this is what he said when I asked when it was being sent....Posted shd be with you monday or Tuesday

I don't see where any misunderstanding comes from apart from the fact I have paid for something that I haven't received

I think you problem really is the lack of contact if you knew what was going on the situation would be easier to handle, but saying that someone must have a contact number for him,as he has been a member of scoobynet for quite sometime.SJ.

Why the hell would you pay for goods over the internet, to a person you don't know and by bank transfer with no come back?

Have you heard of paypal?

Default Awaiting parts

I will also add my name to the list of awaiting paid parts from the scoobynet member. He was friendly enough but fact of the matter is I have paid for something and haven't recieved it over 3 weeks later. Bit of a pattern forming and I bet we are not the only ones....

nikon-man. Get in contact with your bank and see if you get them to claw the money back. I'm not sure, but I thought this was a possibility as you paid by transfer.

Look in to it

and for those who seem to be siding with the seller, think about it as if it was you that was waiting for the parts and was out of pocket!

trouble is if it was ebay all you would get is that there are so many people on there who con people and scam merchants but it has happened on here which is disappointing as I thought the Scooby community looked after each other

My exact thoughts too mate. Something I am failing to understand is there are 3 of us so far who have not recieved our paid for items on this one thread alone, more than 3 weeks is not an unreasonable time scale to expect delivery, and nothing is able to be done by the powers that be
