Hi.as in another thread I have an oil leak from turbo area.
I've put my fingers under the joint of the turbo where that big shiny round clip is.looks like a massive hose clip.

Yes mate, most probably a sign of turbo bearing/seal failure at worst or might be time to get a catch can integrated into your set up.SJ.

I'm in the middle of taking turbo off now. I'm assuming I need too to sort it out.
I didn't have boost either and it's quite a bad leak.

Turbo off.no play in shaft at all.
Really wet and oily around metal pipe flange but can't tell if it's from that or where compressed meets housing.
Should I split the turbo from housing?

Should I take the big hose clamp off the middle of turbo and split the turbo in half.
Is there a seal in there that can be replaced or should I leave it to professional. ?
I can't tell if it was the metal return pipe leaking or leaking around the big metal hose clamp.split clamp? Unsure of name.

If not sure leave it to a pro, contact CRturbos:http://www.crturbos.co.uk/ who i have used in the past and highly recommend,it sounds like a seal of some sort could of failed but as i said before unless you know what you are looking for your shooting in the dark.SJ.

Thanks.
Hmmm what to do?
If I send it away and it's only the metal return flange gasket I'd be gutted but I suppose the only thing I can do.
Can oil pissing out of the join under the split clamp?
I'll contact crturbos tomorrow or I may go swap with af for a hybrid td04.
