Default Subaru Car Ebay Scammer Still Active

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2912142312...84.m1423.l2649

Please beware of the seller jeep_specialist as he scammed me out a deposit for the above Subaru impreza. I believe the account has been hacked due to previous feedback but he has been reported to the police and also ebay. non have acted so far and he is still active.

Was interested in buying a Subaru and this one came up agreed with the seller on delivery if I covered the cost of transport home and fuel paid him a deposit and everything looked fine.

On the agreed date no one showed and he was not answering his phone so started to look in to more and found out I had been scammed.

A couple of mates from different areas in the uk messaged him and he said it was still for sale and offered them the same deals so still actively scamming people.

Registration he sent me of the supposed above car was YX03 FRR but after checking the government site this has not been mot'd or taxed for years also the spec was taken from another advert from years ago that I found after searching high and low.

The ford puma he is selling I checked out that registration and that is the same not mot'd or taxed for years. The model number he is also claiming it to be belongs to a member in France. I found this out from the puma member club and the advert details he had stolen from a advert in 2012.

I was stupid enough to be sucked in by the seller but he has done his homework and adverts do look genuine.

It did after researching more about the cars but read across was a wrx with sti engine build so thought reason it was lower priced.

Have managed to pick up a lovely Impreza WRX for less than what it was worth.

My own fault for being to trusting but after buying many cars of ebay and other places with no problems you end up being to trusting.

The description I found of another advert that was real and did sell many years ago so most of the spec is real. He maybe added some more in to it that was not.

Have paid deposit on cars and parts before without issues. I have also sold and took deposits on items and cars. Most people are trustworthy but unfortunately the a**holes ruin it for everyone else.

Know I made a mistake but just warning other people so it doesn't happen again.

half of the description is crap, so that would automatically ring alarm bells, but yet again why pay a deposit without seeing the car and secondly how did you pay it as if it was paypal can you not claim it back?, any other way more fool you.

If only you'd read the description because half of that spec clearly isn't visible in the photos How much did you lose and how did you pay it?

Thanks for that hopefully ebay shut him down soon.

Should get it back through paypal they are investigating the case.

No gifts are for friends or trusted people and that's not many these days lol

Just the normal for paypal to take ages to act on anything these days.

That will only be applicable if the buyer pulls out of the sale, if the seller fails to sell the car as arranged then its a different kettle of fish

Been watching seller on my ebay account and thought ebay had removed him but looks like ebay have not done a good job he's back this time scamming with Toyota's and parts.

Reported all his items again to hopefully stop anyone else getting sucked in but doesn't seem to be helping much .

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1993-TOYOT...item43cf86d26c

Didn't do a very good job of hiding where he plucked this information form this time - http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1282438

quite common, I paid £200 deposit a few years back for an 11k evo 8 that was in Scotland (I am Manchester). I did that though as the seller was a long term member on the lancer register all positive comments and a very well looked after car.
