Default Exhaust for an mot!

I've been searching around the net for a standard exhaust system with the cat in place to allow my car the pass an mot.think I have now found a system on ebay but am unsure wether it will fit and the seller has no idea.my car is a 2002 Jdm sti,can anybody give me a heads up if it's from a uk spec car it would fit a Jdm?are they the same fitment?any advice greatly appreciated as the car has been unused for a month now just trying to get it uk legal to register it.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Imp...3D251614728043

Thanks again,Ryan.

a 2002 JDM STI Bugeye uses the same exhaust system as a UK model.

The later, twinscroll Blobeye uses a different system, twinscroll dowpipe and the centre pipe is same length as a Classic one.

Would if not be easier just buying a sports cat downpipe for your car so it will pass the MOT and no need to change it come test time?

thanks for the reply mate, the exhaust on it currently is a straight through with possibly one resonator in the middlefrom turbo back.ive recently brought the car over from cyprus so tryin to get it through an mot to register it.i was offerd the choice of a cat being placed in it but that would mean cutting it and thats not for me.found that exhaust on ebay and was wondering if that would get me through an mot?cheers, ryan.

It wont be one piece including the downpipe , so change the downpipe.

For a cheap option you can get a Prodrive sports cat from a newage, or buy an aftermarket one.

Yes the exhaust on ebay would get you through an MOT providing the CATs are still good. But it dosent include the centre pipe by the look of it. So its not a complete exhaust.

its a coustum exhaust.its a cypriot make, twister??along the lines of a powerflow im guessing.but yeh the down pipe to the centre is one piece.it has no interchangable parts untill the centre section.too be honest mate i want the cheapest option to get it through an mot.one garage quoted £1500 for a prodrive system.been some threads on here about sports cats not working so not really interested in that route.once the mot is done the current exhaust will go back on,thanks for your time, ryan.

so you just need a down pipe, all after market set ups are one piece to centre pipe as it includes the link pipe as one.

I think you need to learn a bit more, do more research. A prodrive system is the same as the eBay one , it just has a sports cat. Nothing wrong with sports cats, I have one, never a problem. Make sure it's 200 cell.

Depends what you want to spend..

look for a second hand aftermarket one sports cat downpipe, or a second hand Prodrive one system

or buy cheap new

http://www.japspeed.co.uk/subaru-imp...ports-cat.html

or buy once, buy quality new

http://www.haywardandscott.com/subar...t-new-age.html

a stage 3 Astra? whats that then, comes with a bulldog and a baseball cap?
