Default Paint wear...How and where to fix it...

So i recently bought a blue Impreza STI 2003 blobeye and as normal, throughout the years the colour has lost a bit of its initial glamour and has aquired a few very thin scratches that it seems that it was caused by poor washing and dust might have caused it.
My question is, can i get rid of that anoying very thin scratches and restore the shining and well deserved showroom blue look and if so, is there anyone in London that can do that?
Thanks
M

PS - Ive checked previous threads on thins but all not very conclusive.

Easiest option is to do it yourself or pay for someone to give it a machine polish.

Thanks mate...You reccon that a machine polish will remove those scratch signs of bad cleaning throughout the years?

Look into having your car detailed, you'll probably pay a minimum of £200 but for that you'll get your paintwork looking like brand new, if not better! And if you can afford it, go for a glass coating. Think of it as wax, but not. More durable and better properties to it!

As above. Get it done professionally. External only should be around £200-250 for a good job that'll last. A

Run your nail over the scratch, if you can't feel the scratch then it'll come out with a machine polish.
I had my RA done when I first purchased it as it was covered in small marks. It was a friend of a friend so only charged me £50, it transformed the body.

£200 and glass coating sounds about right. Not looking to cut corners so willing to pay more to have it done properly. Can you recomend anyone good to have this done?

Hey Matty, i have run my nail and you cant feel the scratches. What you can see is a circular kind of scratches that it looks like its from the years of washing.

Bluey82, If you do want a have a dabble at this yourself, I recently ran a bit of of this over my WRX, which had a few very minor surface scratches -

Farecla 7163 150ml G3 Professional Scratch Remover Paste: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike Farecla 7163 150ml G3 Professional Scratch Remover Paste: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike

It was really good stuff actually. I am still going to get my car detailed when I am finished fettling with it, but this was a decent stop-gap to take out some of the small scratches. Hope this helps!

Many thanks Pheenix WRX. I have bought that already and its amazing to remove scratches but it feels quite heavy to use on a full hood for example. Im definitely looking to get the car detailed as i believe if propper polished and glass coated or waxed will do the job.
Any recomendation where i can do this?

Let us know how you get on Bluey, I'm keen to do the same. You sound as fastidious as myself in having a well presented car!
