Default Dodgy fuel pump

I bought a fuel pump from the group buy from Scoobyworx a few weeks ago and its been great till today when I went to come home from work and the car started spluttering and conked out.I managed to get the car into a bus stop in Trafford park where it was quiet.I was itching my head and thought what could it be I had no eml lights on and the fuel pump is brand new what could it be.Im 8 miles away from home so I phoned the RAC who quickly come out.I explained what happened and he tapped the tank a few times then the car sprung into life. Its the fuel pump he said and wrote me a report out and kindly followed me home. Its spluttered like **** some parts of the journey and some times ran ok.Ive rang the Scoobyworx on the off chance he might be working late and no answer.I wasn't expecting anyone to be there but worth a try.Ive emailed him just waiting for a reply now and I will phone him in the morning.Im now with out a car and I will ring him in the morning. So all in all ive had a **** day

We did have a small batch of pumps where i had a few fail. I've removed them all from stock and our manufacturer has sent us fresh stock.

I've sent your replacement out today and will be with you tomorrow.

We offer a 2 year warranty on our pumps which we a glad to be able to offer. Up until the batch we had which had a few faulty ones we had only 3 fail in around 400 pumps which is a very low failure rate less than 1%

I always try to answer email even out of hours where possible

Lesson for other sellers and traders here, it's resulted in me saving their URL to my favourites list.

Can't fault SW at all. Darrell sorted me a good deal with filters, pump and 3 port solenoid.

Just wondering if mine was part of the dodgy batch? Pump was purchased about a month ago and is being fitted this week.
Can call you to give you the order number if that helps and also it was the 290 version and not the 255.
Thanks

From what Rick said his failed after a few weeks...
Anyway, as it's already been fitted and awaiting mapping now, let's play it by ear and see what happens.
Thanks for the great communication and super fast reply to my email. If there are any issues I'll call you to sort it out rather then posting on here.
Thanks again Darrell.

Come to think of it I bought a 290lph pump direct from yourselves for my S202, it was ordered on the 23rd of June.

It has run fine in the car since then, I have since sold the car on but I wouldn't want the new owner to encounter possible future problems.

You've not done anything wrong Rick. If anything, you've only highlighted how good Darrell @ Scoobyworx's customer service is.

They take the same pump as the earlier newage you just have to modify the carrier
