Question

I have a WRX type RA and bought it recently but when I floor it mostly in 5th the boost creepsup to 1bar and the car seems to pop and bang throwing me back and forth. The boost then decreases to 0.5bar and sits there.

I have taken it to Subaru and they have replaced the boost valve but this has made no difference!

It is very embarrasing when you floor it to overtake. Sitting there popping and banging.

Any ideas?

Could you give us some more info about the car? ie its age etc... there are a number of reasons why this could be happening, some of them related to its age (Subaru keep changing things.... need to know how they bolted this one together)

Cheers,

Pat.
