Default Uk rear lights vs jdm (blob)

Hi all, today I replaced one of my rear lights because it was cracked (n/s). Put In the new one and the lights don't marry up when illuminated. I bought it off a chap on eBay. Never said it was jdm as I'm guessing it has to be. Is there anyway I can sort this without buying another lens? In other words can I alter the bulbs around or something?

You can change the wiring as I know someone that re-jiggled his UK blob rear lights to make it the same setup as a JDM.

Not sure exactly what you have to do but it can be done I'm sure.

I take it you mean one of the lights is offset to the other?

If so just unscrew and swap the connector and bulb over...dont remove the bulb

Yes but here's the thing, the new one (jdm) has a bulb hole blocked off. Whereas the uk one on the right is open.

The fog lights on the JDMs are blocked off as they ain't used over there. I'm fairly sure the configuration is different too

I have also changed mine round, some wiring looms are a little shorter than others but is easy to extend the wiring if it is a bit tight.

It's easy to gette JDM look with UK lights as they have a fog hole in the light cluster, The JDM's do not, Only way is to either swap it for a UK one or drill the opening out so the bulb holder will fit in the JDM cluster

I'm gonna drill out the light cluster. There is no other way around it I can see. I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, bottled it on drilling the light cluster. Never had the right size hole saw anyway. So basically got round it by swapping around the sidelight and and also taking out the fog light bulb and holder and replacing with the brake light as it's the layout is different. MOT time I'll have to put it back in to pass.
