Thats a very good budget i think. I bought a 2004 blob sit with 40k on the clock with a new clutch, cam belt, freshly powder coated wheels and in general very good condition. I then sold that to get a 2005 wide track for 8k...

Wouldn't worry about mileage too much, especially on imports. Funny how they all come in with 60k on isn't it.
If I see anything pal ill let you know.

I was put off by just about everything, overspray on the tyres, no fog covers, scabby interior, engine bay..looks a proper dog to me!! And if it looks that bad in pictures..

The red STi is nice, I'd deffo be interested in that if I was in the market, looks really clean, plus at half your budget you could afford a fair few upgrades if you wanted.

Otherwise yep, you can spend ages going through dog after dog in the classifieds before you find a nice one, they do come though, like that P1 that sold very quickly and was under your budget, seller was Andy C I think, no point linking it as he deleted all the info, but looked a very nice car!

Your funny and very patient, my blob wagon is about to click over to 107k. I thought there was a few bits that needed doing on it so was considering getting rid, changed my mind and yesterday I put some new pads on the rear and fitted a set of STI wheels with new winter tyres on, just been for a bit of a blast and she goes like a dream, brake judder gone, wheel bearing sound gone, and going round corners like she's on rails, in short what's your problem with high miles? buy on condition and history/ owner.

Only problem I have now is i'm going to scrap 5x Ultralight G-grid as they're obviously fooked.

Depends what you mean by mint. On a 10 year plus car, this is highly unlikely. And if you do find one, they will probably want more than £7.5k.

not necessarily my last v2 STi Type RA was mint 17 year old car and not a mark on it which I sold to someone on here with 38000 miles on the clock and I paid a lot less that 7.5 for that so they are out there

Recon you'd need to add another 1k to get a proper mint widetrack 2ltr.
I'm concidering selling mine, so looking at what the prices are.....dealers even selling them for 10k+.
What part of the world are you from?

Agreed, but incredibly rare. Hence the premiums usually charged.

There was 50k Mint Bugeye UK300 for sale on that god awful facebook Subaru page the other day. He wanted £6.5k for it, I kid you not. It was in dry storage for 6 years apparently. He thought it was worth the premium because it was a UK300.

This looks good to me.. pricey and plenty of questions to ask but theres some good stuff in that advert, it looks good and sounds like it was imported from new and the mileage is only 56k..

He did right selling it
I think you need to take a step back and stop looking rob. I was constantly looking everywhere and there was nothing, I was getting pretty fed up so left it a bit. Then I stumbled across yours.
My brother is in the same situation, I've told him the same...

Also mate, you need to hang out for something that you really fancy, otherwise it's pointless getting it.
