FORUM ADMINS- Attention Required......
When using the advanced search function, why is it that I cannot search the sub-forum called 'SUBARU' from the 'CARS FOR SALE' forum under the section 'MARKET PLACE (SN MEMBERS ONLY)'?
This is highly irritating and a flaw in the advanced search function.
It allows you to search the 'SUBARU' sub-forum in the 'MARKET PLACE (AUTHORISED TRADERS ONLY)' so why is this not an option in the other? Is this simple mistake which can easily be sorted?
See picture:
Please can you get this sorted because I hate having to search through the entire 'Market Place (SN members only)' section. I am surprised no one has mentioned this before because it's probably been like this for years? If I'm being thick or doing something wrong then let me know.

Both the traders' 'Subarus for sale' and the private members' 'Subaru' sub forums work fine for me.
Re. the one that's not working for you... You did first click on the said 'Subaru' forum so it highlighted blue, prior to searching?
Other than that (obvious) thing, I don't understand why it's not working, then.

I think you misunderstand a bit. There is no option for me (for anyone?) to search the sub-forum 'SUBARU' under 'CARS FOR SALE' of the forum under the SN MEMBERS ONLY as you can see in my picture in my first post.
The section that I have circled in GREEN is what I specifically want to search (but there's no option for this in the advanced search), the section circled in RED is the 'Subaru for sale' from the Authorised Trader section (there is the option in the advanced search to search this sub-forum as seen in my picture in my first post):
Hopefully this is a bit more clear and that the admins can sort this out?

Ah, right, I get ya. So in Advanced search, that 'Subaru' sub forum is not available for you - it doesn't actually show up in the first place?
You are actually logged in?!
Could it not be that you need to be a PAID member?? I say that, as I am, and it shows up/works for me.
Other than that, I cannot think why else it would not be available.

Mattyb, does it work for you?

No idea, it shows up for me.
For the time being, so you may be able to search, have you tried clicking on the 'subarus for sale' and use the 'search this forum' tab within in the actual sub-forum?
I'll log out and have a look if the search option is still there for me in the advanced search.

Thanks Lisa.
...and yes I know I can 'search this forum' when I'm in the actual sub-forum but when you do it like that, you can't search for keywords in thread titles so it's a bit pointless really as it brings up thousands of results...
EDIT: I logged out and it was available for me to specifically search, but when I log back in it goes. Strange

It is odd that it works when you've logged out though.
Like I say, I've passed this on, so hopefully someone might be able to sort this out.

I am also not having any issues searching within the SN Members Only Forum.
I also looked into the forum permissions specifically to the SN Members Only marketplace, and it is open to search--I'll have to dig a little deeper to see what the issue is.
