Default dccd works right?

I have a my95 sti ra and Im going to put a front LSD in the gearbox.

At the same time Im thinking about test the DCCD to know if I need overhaul it.
How I can know if the DCCD need a refurb

Thanks

P.D: Maybe I speak about DCCD but the problem is the center diff, not the DCCD system... It is possible that the plated part of the centre dccd is worn out

DCCD does a self diagnostic when you fire the car up doesn't it? Mine flashes a green light constantly to tell me mine is not working (because the gearbox is on my workshop floor, replaced by a non-DCCD 6 speed). I think it either works or it doesn't.

Not lights... Only hard knocks from the rear and the rear lsd and transmisions are Ok. I want to know if the DCCD can be checked with a torque wrench or I need to open it to see if the discs are worn out.

Which setting go you have it on. Its undriveable on the first 2 orange lights IMO. I only use the last 2 green settings.

It's more than driveable in the orange, just depends what your doing with the car. Don't get me wrong you would drive it down to the shops, in the orange. But for track works it's very useable. Joe

I get knocks and noises from the rear on mine but as mentioned it depends on what light your on, what manoeuvre your doing.

So personally I wouldn't worry about it or take a video of what noises you are getting then post it up.

You can drive on the road in any setting.

Sorry went a bit off topic.

You can't overhaul the DCCD just the gearbox as the DCCD isn't a mechanical part it just adjusts the diff lock of the LSD.
Start in first green steer left and right backwards and forwards (full lock) there should be no noises, push it into first orange,do the same as you did in the green and then you should start to feel resistance.
